Auburn Botanic Gardens. 27th Feb 2015

The gardens cover 9.2 hectares ( nearly 23 acres) and, while there is not the large amount of flowers I expected, the area is well planted out. The Japanese Garden will have you taking lots of photos, especially in spring. As well as the lake in the Japanese garden there is another lake to which a number of free flying water birds are attracted. There is also a walk through an open enclosure where kangaroos, wallabies, emu and a wombat roam.
Monday to Friday would be the best time to visit as 1. it's free and 2. while I was there I only saw 6 adults and 2 children.
I have used a bit of  'photographic licence'  on some of the photos by using some of the free apps that are available on most electronic 'tablets'.
